Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two round or rectangular cake pans.
2. Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
3. Cream butter and sugar: In another large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
4. Add eggs and vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
5. Combine: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk, starting and ending with dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
6. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pans and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
7. Cool: Let the cakes cool completely before decorating.

Assembling the High Heel Cake:
1. Shape the cake: Once cooled, trim the cake into a shoe box or stage shape if you want, or keep it simple.
2. Frosting: Apply a crumb coat of buttercream and chill for 15 minutes. Then frost again smoothly.
3. Create the high heel:
Roll black fondant to form the base of a high heel shoe.
Mold the shoe heel and top separately, then attach them together.
Let it dry and harden.
4. Decorate: Place the fondant high heel on top or beside the cake. Add small fondant decorations like bows, beads, or flowers. Sprinkle edible glitter for a glamorous look.
5. Final touch: Pipe decorative borders with a piping bag and finish with candles or a birthday topper.
