Fairy Tree Stump Cake

For the Cake:
All-purpose flour: 250g
Sugar: 200g
Unsalted butter (softened): 100g
Eggs: 2 large (approx. 100g)
Milk: 240ml (approx. 240g)
Baking powder: 10g
Vanilla extract: 5g
Salt: 2g
Buttercream Frosting:
Unsalted butter (softened): 250g
Powdered sugar: 500g
Milk: 30ml (approx. 30g)
Vanilla extract: 5g
Brown food coloring (for the tree stump effect): as needed
Decorations:
Fondant or modeling chocolate for the fairy figure and mushrooms: 200g
Green food coloring (for the grassy surface): as needed
Edible flowers and other details: as desired
Instructions:
1.Bake the Cake:
-Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour your cake pans.
-Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
-In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well. Mix in the vanilla extract.
-Gradually add the flour mixture, alternating with milk, until just combined.
-Pour the batter into the pans and bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the cakes cool completely.
2.Prepare the Buttercream:
-Beat the butter until creamy. Gradually mix in the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Add brown food coloring to mimic the appearance of tree bark.
3.Decorate the Cake:
-Frost the cake to create the tree stump look, using a spatula to add texture for the bark.
-Sculpt fondant or modeling chocolate into the fairy, mushrooms, and other decorations.
-Use green food coloring for the grassy top and attach edible flowers for extra charm.
